CUSTOM WORK & COMMISSIONS
Made for your story.
Some adventuring tools begin with a product. Others begin with a character, a particular way of playing or an idea that does not yet exist.
Custom work from Imric’s Emporium begins with a conversation. Together, we can explore what you need, what can be made and how your idea might take shape in the workshop.
PERSONALISATION OR SOMETHING NEW?
Find the right path for your idea.
Personalise an existing piece
Small, clearly defined changes may be available on selected products, including names, initials, short inscriptions and approved design choices.
Where personalisation is available, the options will appear directly on the relevant product page so they can be ordered alongside the item.
Commission custom work
A commission is for something requiring a more individual approach: a substantial adaptation, a character-led design or a piece that does not currently exist in the Emporium.
Because every commission is different, the design, price and timescale are discussed and agreed before any work begins.
THE ORIGINAL PIECE
Made for Imric.
Before there was an Emporium, there was a box made for my own D&D character.
It was not a customer commission. It began as an attempt to bring together the things I used during play in a form that felt personal to the character carrying them.
The layout, details and overall character of the box were considered around one particular adventurer and story. That original piece became the starting point for Imric’s Emporium—and remains the clearest example of the thinking behind its custom work.
A commission for your character would not be a copy of Imric’s box. It would begin in the same way: with the story you want the finished piece to tell.

Custom work within the craft of the Emporium.
Possible projects may include:
Character-led boxes and storage
A box or Reliquary designed around a particular character, collection of equipment or way of playing.
Personalised workshop pieces
Selected existing designs adapted with names, inscriptions or approved decorative details.
Adapted layouts and components
Changes to the arrangement or function of an existing workshop design where the materials and construction allow it.
Gifts with a particular story
Individual pieces created for a player, Dungeon Master, campaign milestone or other tabletop occasion.
Not every idea will suit the materials, tools or scale of the workshop. If something cannot be made reliably—or would not offer good value—I will say so honestly.
HOW A COMMISSION WORKS
From first idea to finished piece.
01 — Tell me about your idea
Share what you would like, who it is for and any character, story or practical requirements that matter. Reference images or sketches are welcome.
02 — Discuss the possibilities
I will review the idea and contact you to discuss its scope, materials, likely timescale and any details that need refining.
03 — Agree the design and quotation
Once the requirements are clear, I will provide a quotation. Nothing enters the making schedule until the design, price and expected timescale have been agreed.
04 — Into the workshop
Payment is arranged through a secure Shopify invoice. The piece is then made, checked and prepared for its journey to you. For larger projects, I may share progress updates along the way.
BEFORE YOU ENQUIRE
A few useful things to know.
Custom work is completed in limited slots alongside the regular workshop range.
Every project is quoted individually. The final price depends on its size, materials, complexity and the design work required.
An enquiry does not commit you to purchase, and it does not guarantee that the project can be accepted.
The expected timescale will be agreed before payment. Changes requested after approval may affect both price and completion time.
Timber is a natural material, so grain, colour and engraved finish will vary slightly between pieces. These differences are part of the character of the finished work.
START A CONVERSATION
Tell me what you have in mind.
You do not need a finished design. A character, a practical need or the beginning of an idea is enough to start the conversation. Just complete the enquiry form with any ideas you have to help start the conversation and we can all take it from there!
